Which of these two is the true "hater"?

Successful brainwashing through indoctrination can have the most extraordinary effects on the human consciousness.

Indeed, indoctrinal brainwashing, once it “takes,” can fundamentally alter one’s perceptions of his surroundings, much in the manner of a psychedelic drug. Being brainwashed can make a person unaware of what’s right under his nose, and, conversely, can cause him to hallucinate wildly.

Red–to the brainwashed one–is clearly blue, and one is silly to think otherwise. Black is white, but of course; what simpleton would claim that black was black? Two plus two does add up to four– at least sometimes, he avers– except in those cases when when two and two actually adds up to five, and except for those other occasions when two and two in fact adds up to twenty-five.

Reality, that is to say, is infinitely malleable to the brainwashed one, albeit only in the way he is instructed, by his mind-masters, to find it malleable. (The brainwashed one never rushes out on the limb of his own imagination; that would be impertinently arrogant; his delusions are the always exactly the ones he is instructed by his betters to entertain, no more and no less.)

For a prime example, take this video segment, concerning a man who traveled to Charlottesville to salute his hero Robert E. Lee, and the gaggle of creeps and fanatics who accosted him as he stood before the now-notorious statue in Lee Park, site of the recently aborted  #UnitetheRight rally.

Now the watcher of this video who sees plainly will apprehend one man standing solemnly and stoically in the midst of a sea of intolerable sanctimony, vitriol, and abuse.

But the brainwashed viewer will somehow manage to see the one non-hater in this segment as the real hater, while those who surround him, filled with unsightly self-righteousness and demonic rage, will be rendered in his mind as pure-minded and good-hearted people.

To him, in his brainwashed mind, it will be as plain as the nose on your face. Plain as the “fact” that (to him) two plus two equals twenty-five. Plain as the “fact” that (again, to him) red is blue, and black is white.
