OUTLANDER: CUCKOLD PORN FOR WOMEN

Left: Time travelling hussy. Right: not-her-husband

Many moralists complain about Fifty Shades of Grey enabling female degeneracy, but at least the hypergamous heroine of that dubious volume was faithful to her kinky billionaire beau. What of "Outlander," a show now entering its third season, in which a married woman is sent back in time and cuckolds her present-day rightful husband with a hunky medieval Scot?

This has drawn far less commentary, but its morally problematic aspects are clearly on display. I comment on what it all portends:

  1. OKay bucko.......1. She had no idea that she would ever get transported back to modern times. 2. She was having alot of people aka men who were harassing her and she was safer in that age married because she had no power, control, protection for herself unless married. Remember women didnt have ANY right back then. 3. The whole point is how she struggled against getting married again but had to because of the situation she was in. 4. If a man was transported into another time we would never even be having this conversation. Even Charles Lindbergh had two families. I watched 2/3 of the first season and got bored. But at least I am commenting on something I actually know about......cmon Andy I expect way more from you than this kind of " he man woman hater" shit.

  2. In popular media, it is NEVER ok for the man to cheat in any way - such a man is always the scoundrel. But we repeatedly see in novels and movies (usually made for women), where the woman is unfaithful, it is "romantic," and it's still the cheated-on-man's fault for not meeting her needs.

  3. Perhaps you really should watch the series before offering such a negative opinion of the heroine Clair Beecham Randal Fraser. It seems harsh to call her a hussy.

    1. How about "adulteress"? Because she committed adultery.
